As is the case with the free NES games playable through Switch Online, the SNES titles consist of some of the console's most popular games, including both Super Mario World titles, Super Metroid, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. To keep fans subscribed to the Switch Online service, Nintendo eventually added Super Nintendo titles to the free games lineup.
